VIR in October
Anyone else planning to run at Virginia International Raceway on October 12-13 with NASA

I will have my 2.3-16 and I am trying to get Robby to take his.

How are the NASA HPDE events? Well run? enough track time for the entry fee (which seems high)? Seems like a lot going on at each event, does the HPDE get the short stick compared to the actual races? It would be fun to try some new tracks like VIR.

A lot does go on at a NASA event but I still get enough track time to make me happy. VIR is a gem of a track to drive. It is worth the extra money just for the experience of driving one of the nicest, well maintained facilities on the east coast. NASA events are well organized and everything runs on schedule.

Doing a whole rear subframe, suspension and tire size changes to my 190 and was shooting to go there for the one day, Labor Day event but am now a little behind. Love VIR and will be going there in Dec with the Audi/Potomac group and whatever else I can slide into. If there is room with NASA and I'm ready, then count me in.

VIR is a gorgeous facility and many improvements over the old if you knew it back in the 70's. Used to race SCCA and IMSA there from 68-72 and it was good then, now it's great! The track has the best variety of different turns, esses and length of straights and takes much concentration to put in a good lap over the 3.27 mile course. Try it, you'll love it, I guarantee it!!
