5spd Shifter Bushings
Does anyone know how to get hold of the solid 5spd shifter bushings that were being sold through Desling Motorsports.

I don't know if this is the same person from the other forum that just asked this same question but I can get teflon bushings TOP OF THE LINE from germany for $60 a set. I need to get atleast a dozen orders though. Let me know if there is any interest.

Yes it is the same person. What I am lookiing for are the Spherical metal bushings. These parts are less than a couple dollars each and are available state side.
Oh well I'll just take mine out and size them myself. I'll just order them at work. |
Well the stuff that I have is a complete kit from the shifter all the way to the tranny...all bushings included. Let me know if your interested.

mbracer,
I am also interested in the spherical metal bushings for my 5 speed. The Delsing shifter bushing kit is only for the aluminum shift lever yoke to the selector rod, and the bearings are made of "Engineered plastic" (As opposed to....). A source of Teflon coated spherical bearings would be ideal in this situation. Count me in, and I will do some research as well. |
mbracer! Check these out.

The bushings that I am offering are 4130 Chrome Molly that has a .5 mil. of teflon. I believe this kit is a steal.

5 speeds
Hello members with the 190E 5 speeds.
I saw one of these cars the other day. I don't recall seeing them before. They must drive real nice. How do you rate it? Thanks |
I ordered five kits and I will have them next tuesday the 3rd of september. Email me at no_end87@hotmail.com for orders.

I replaced my bushings with Delsing bushings when they were available. The OD of the original bushings is 18.5 mm and the rod diameter is 6.0 mm, ID. The Delsing kit provided a new .0255 rod that required the reaming out of the shifting shaft and the pressing in of this new rod.
Another alternitive is steel ball bearing, available from McMaster-Carr (ABEC-1 #626) for $8.66. They should be a direct replacement for the steel cased rubber bushings. |
Many thanks - saves me down time!
