Were c36's available in special ordered colors?

If not, maybe the color is off in the photo, or a re-paint?

That colour looks like almandine red, a stock MB colour. It's not inconceivable that someone could specifically order a C36 in that colour. Not my cup of tea though.

Thats a OE color available only in 1995 from what I understand. No special order colors were made available, but I believe the 1994 European C36's were available in blue also.

That does look like Almandine red metallic.

There is a C36 for sale in the classifieds in the back of Mercedes Enthusiast described as a special order colour, but it just looks blue to me. You have always been able to order any colour you like through AMG. In the recent past they have handled all MB customisation requirements including special paint.
