Angry 9th day driving....

I didn't know where else to post this thread, but i just wanted to salute the worksmanship that goes into a mercedes... tonight (my 9th day driving on my license, i'm 16) my friend in his honda civic rear-ended me, causing a few thousand dollars in damage to his car, while only cracking the bumper, breaking the taillight, and breaking the OEM exhaust on my 1986 300E, the things a tank...a salute to mercedes-benz!

Wink

Your are going to shoot your friend for doing that to your car right? OK maybe shooting is a bit harsh. At least break a knee cap.

Damn.. I had the same happen to my 230E (W124) back home. A lady in a Toyota Starlet (dont know if you have ever seen it.... but it's a small little hatchback that has a 1.3L engine) rear-ended the car! The damage was nothing more than a gash in the black bumper impact strip... haven't fixed it since it isn't so obvious...

guess what happened the the Toyota...

I guess bigger cars are just stronger... a Ford Laser cab hit my dad's Toyota Crown from the side (right above the rear wheel) and scraped the fender. The damage wasn't even that big... the cab's headlight, bumper, fender were smashed.

Well.. not long after that a truck (yes!!! a truck) hit a bit of the car while trying to overtake from the back. The result... the part above the right side taillight was dented pretty badly... but RR quarter panel, taillight, and even trunk were good! The trunk was still able to close...

I love the Toyota Crown... I wonder why they don't have it here..

so how much are you going to get from his insurance company to fix it up? Think...
1. AMG muffler..
2. updated taillights (though I'd still keep the originals)
3. new bumper..
