Can I replace the stock air filters with a set of K&N's without problems? And, will it make a difference?

Yes, you can replace the stock air filter with a K&N Element and you won't have any problems. The Filter lets more air into the engine so you should have more power by using it. They usually Claim around 10hp. You may feel a difference or you may not, but it will improve performance some.
