ITG air filters for 500E/E500

Jumping on the RENNTech bandwagon (again)...

I have decided to ditch my K&N air-filters in favor of ITG's offering.

For those interested, the ITG part # is: WB-436

I just called Eurosport Accessories in Anaheim, CA @ (714) 603-1555 and ordered two.

They quoted me $54.95 each + CA sales tax + shipping.

*** NOTE: these items are NOT stocked; they are special order ONLY.

If anybody wants to add to this (my) order, you will not be charged until the filters arrive
(approximately 4-6 weeks from MON 25NOV02... which is sometime between 26DEC02 and 03JAN03).

I enjoyed the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young hold music... NOT.

;)

Scott,
Wanna unload your K&N's? I'd be interested if the price was right...let me know.

run.exe 11-25-2002 08:09 PM

sure

Glen:

Please e-mail your offer to me @ nemo@nemonis.net .

Please keep in mind that I can't sell my K&Ns until I receive my ITGs (sometime between 26DEC02 and 03JAN03)...

;)

My K&N filters are 2 years old. I'll throw in my re-oiler spray (what remains of it) and cleaning solution, at no extra charge.

FYI (original pricing):

air filters for 1993 Mercedes Benz 500E, K&N part 33-2678 (required = 2):
$55.35 retail * 2 = ($110.70 + $20 Next Day Air shipping) = $130.70

K&N filter re-oiler kit, K&N part # 99-3000 = $9.00

Here's ITG's website: http://www.itgairfilters.com/

Tom

ITG filters:

- are more dust-resistant than K&Ns
- are easier to clean than K&Ns
- require less frequent cleaning than K&Ns
- use foam instead of paper (unlike K&Ns)

Hi Scott!

I perused the ITG web site and am impressed with the proclamations. Being that I am a headhunter by profession, I always check references before recommending an app to a client company.

Any 500E500 owners have experience with these filters? 3-10K miles preferred?

Tom

FYI

RENNTech uses these in their 500E/E500 airbox application.

Is that a good enough reference?

;)

Ricky Galang ("Rainmaker") has them in his RENNTech airbox...

FWIW, the K&N filters I have (they were a present) are made with cotton, not paper.

Yes; however, cotton is not as dust-resistant as foam...

How about a review now ...

Guys:

Can you please post some feedback/review on the ITG filters now? I'd like to upgrade from OEM and I am going to decide between the K&Ns or the ITGs.

Much appreciated!

p.s. Scott (aka Master of Customization) - your sig picture is wild!

If you want, I will sell you my old K&N with the rest of the oil I have.
