I'm first time here - interesting forums, very interesting people!

From last month I am a happy owner of real AMG car - 340CE 124:
- 24-valve engine (based on standart 300E-24), 3.4 l, 272 hp
- AMG 17' wheels with 255/40
- speedometr up to 280 km/h
- full aerobody kit
- sportline
...

So I have one small problem - I don't have any information about this car! What kind of engine oil I must use, quantity of oil, what kind of filter ... etc.

Where can I found this information?

P.S. And how many cars was ever bult?

I've never heard of this car, and a google search for Mercedes 340CE turned up nothing, which is odd.

Anyway, if you check your owners manual it should specify most of what you want to know.

I guess there are 25 of them according to the above webpage. Is yours stickshift like this car?

There are a ton of posts about what oil to put in cars, but it comes down to personal preference or what your owners manual says. Basically thats a toned down C36 motor, M104 engine, so whatever mercedes says to put in M104, put in it.

Use Mercedes oil filters. Find if its an M103 or M104 engine, you shoudl be able to find out what it is on the block. See the website to find where the numbers are.
