You can get a cold air intake, like 2phast, and maybe tweek out the exhaust, maybe take out the R34 resistor, but that won't get you 180-190HP. To get that much, you would have to look into forced induction, and that would cost you $$$. Or you could get NOS, which might be cheaper then a turbocharger, but I don't know how you would feel with a depletable power resource. If I had the money, I would get a turbo, and a transmission that could handle the power.
Hope this helps. I am sure the more experienced members know more about this then me. Peter V.

thanks guys, but before i can start any of this i need a new rear differential in my car, does anyone know where i can get one of these for cheap are there any sites for it, also im thining abuot getting a turbo and hopfully a stager transmission that can handle the power, but if there are any sites. for people with 8 valve and made them into pretty fast cars, the thing is i dont want to really race, i just want to race some of my firends and just having a powerful car. I just bought this car cuz it was the affordable and i got it for a steal, it cost me only $1700. BUt now that i need a new rear differential (which i think cost alot of money) it is eatin out from my budget. THats why im triyin to get as much power for the cheepest amount but i dont want to use NOS. SO can somone help me find a cheap rear differential so i can start with my project.

There is a forum dedicated exclusively to the 190E -- http://azure.bbboy.net/190revolution -- check it out. Lots of discussion there about performance mods to these cars.
As for your differential, contact Patomac Pat at Patomac German Auto -- www.pgauto.com (he is a member of this board, and at the afformentioned 190 Revolution board.) PGAuto is an MB recycler. They'll have just about any part you could need. Jeff Pierce

Bekkers sells a stroker kit for the 8valve as well and should put you at 180hp, this with exhaust, intake or revision to current intake, headers and r34 resistor mod should put you over 200hp. You will need to swap the transmission to a 2.6 or 300e adn change your rear end to a 3.27 from a te, it will be able to handle the increase of power. Kit alone is 4k. Good Luck keep us posted. Long Live Benzsport!
