Eibach or equivalent lowering prices (w124)

Hi, I have been able to find a few different brands of lowering springs for my car, but none of them seem to list the prices. I'm curious if anyone can give me some quick quotes on how much they go for if anyone knows. I'd like to do front and rear. Thanks!

Lowering springs

There was a link on this site that offered the Sportline spring kit for $1350.00

There is a local Northwest tire chain that deals in lowering springs, among other things. Call Les Schwab in Independence, OR and ask for Russ in the alignment center, he should be able to help you with pricing and other info. (503)838-6340

springs, cost is around $300 or so a set. ionstall, varies, from $120 for all 4 and up, depending on where you go.

Shocks, Bilstein sports, should run about $400 or so, and install I would think $120 or so.

As far as that sportline for $1350, thats the entire sportline upgrade as far as I know, shocks, springs, new control arm bushings, and thiocker swaybars with new bushings. It is a very nice upgrade, that makes the car feel and handle great, and yet remain with its supple ride.

I decided to go aftermarket as I had a deal on the springs I could not pass up at the time.

if you need any help in locating the necessary sportline upgrade parts, give phil@ partsshop a call. 888-333-4642

IF you are looking for aftermarket springs / suspension upgrades, I probably have a few places you can try.

ALon is right on the money about the prices. H&R is about $250, bilstein sports 400. Install at TWS is $120 for everything.

Where? Seems like a good price. H&R or Eibach's.....that's the question.

Mike,

Think twice. I have H&R on my 300E and Eibach on my E420. Both cars have Bilsteins Sports shocks but after driving them under same conditions my preference goes to the Eibachs.

I would love to share my experiences in a more professional language but unfortunately I am not an expert. Most evident difference is that both cars are riding on 17" X 8 wheels ( same offset on both cars ) and the 300E's front wheels are rubbing more compared to the E420.

It's logical that the V8 engine weights much more than the 6 cyl.

Only my $0.02 cents.

Craig,

Performance Products sent me again the 15% coupon by e-mail. Are you getting the AMG from them this time ? BTW I still haven't found your name at the next Southern CA GTG. Are you joining us ?

I just got an online quote from Shox.com. Eibach doesn't make a kit for the W124 anymore.
