Hi, have a 1995 C36 that sounds kinda funny. The sound emitted is like a ticking sound (a low pitched diesel engine sound), i am not sure if it is the lifters or if it is inherrent in the design of the engine. The sound is always there regardless (although it is only audilbe from the outside)of temperature. The car has 60000 KM on it. Could it be the lifters not getting enough oil, and if it is the lifters is this gonna be costly?
