I wasn't aware that they made a 500E in 1995. Maybe a European version? Shipping would be a bear.

Since the air filter cover has the painted "Mercedes Benz" and "Star", it appears to be of an earlier vintage, say 1991 - 1993. Glen's 1994 E500 air filter cover has no paint ... just black plastic.

Production ceased for the W124 036 in January of 1995 but there were a few out the previous year as 1995 models.
You're right about the air cleaner housing, its the painted version from the 500E. Also, the guy listed the engine serial starting with "118".

i actually was looking to buy it but the seller later told me that it is from a 92 rather then a 95 so it made me think if it really has that low miles, I changed my mind.
