Does anybody know the difference between a bug splat at 60MPH vs. one at 120+ MPH?
Nothing!!! Just the satisfaction of knowing |

That's an easy one...at 120mph the splat will be only be half the thickness as the 60mph splat! Common sense and still has to be removed !!

The difference is that you'll be picking up Volkswagen parts scattered over a much wider area! :p

My 300CE gets more than its fair share of 120mph blasts. You dont get bug splats at that speed really. The air pressure in front of the car forces them up and over.

Jim Villers mentioned to me that one reply is incorrect, at twice the speed, the force of impact is squared, so the splat would be one fourth the thickness.... or the VW parts would be spread over four times the area.
:rolleyes |
