I would go for S55 AMG for sure. It looks nice, large enough to carry my family around, and still a good performer amoung Luxury Sedans.....

Defiantely CL500, they may not be super fast, but they will beat most things, and they look superb. I have seen one at my local dealer in jet black with cream leather and big 18" wheels.

WOW!!

Just curious, but why these three vehicles? They're not exactly competing for the same market share.

The CLK55 is a step down in luxury and interior room, a big step up in performance, and a big step down in price when compared to the other two.

The S55 is a sedan and the other two are coupes.

Why don't you consider the CL55 in this group? At least then they would all have the AMG name in common.

If I were making the choice, I would get the CL500 just because it is the best looking of the bunch.

I think the CL500 is the only one with the active suspension which I think is really cool. I'll take that one please!

Just some side notes. S55 AMG and S600 will have Active Suspension standard, as well as CL55 AMG, and all CLs. And it's optional on all 2001 W220s.

Hi guys...The reason I posted this topic is not to compare these cars side by side, but to see what most people prefer if they had a choice. Also, I meant CL55 not CL500 (my mistake). All three cars are wonderful cars and I would be happy with any one of them.

Depends on your priorities....the S55 will be the best for driving more than 2 people on a regular basis. The CL55 will be the personal GT pamperer of the lot. The CLK55 will be the resident badass. Which you choose depends on what pushes your buttons the most.

Were it my choice...I'd probably go for the CLK55.

Hope this helps...Lee

I would go with the CLK55 and with the money saved I would go to Renntech and have them throw a six speed manual in it. That would be my choice by far.

I think it would be a very easy decision between these three cars. Assuming that the reason you're choosing between them is that you can only afford one, and not all three

They each do their jobs differently enough that if you knew what you wanted, you could easily pick.

My choice (if i could only have one of the 3) is definately the CL55. Unfortunately, that car will be VERY VERY VERY rare indeed. They will only be bringing 7 of them into Canada next year (that's what I've been told). 1st one is going to the president of Benz Canada.

Well, I will be happy not to choose among of those three cars, if it was a gift. So, you guys choose? And I will take any of those cars happily.
