Hopefuly this isn't too off topic, but in January i'm off to America on holiday, and I want to meet as many of you people as possible, and I want to see all your cool Mercedes!
There are very few 'hot-rod' mercedes in the UK (or where I live anyway). I really fancy being 'co-pilot' in a 500E/E500 or an AMG or any other Mercedes for that matter!

If any body here can take me for a spin in January I will definately try and make it.

I'm flying to Denver on January 7th, but i'm happy to travel as far as I need to get a ride in a super benz!

Thanks

Oliver

January 7th...Holy smokes––talk about lead time!

I would be more than happy to give a drive in my '92 500E (AMG chip, suspension, rear muffler, door sill plates; EVOII wheels; sans resonator (replaced by straight through pipes by Timevalve). Maybe by the time you arrive, I will have had the differential modifed (gleason-torsen).

Drop me an email as the time approaches, and I will see what we can arrange (btw, I live in Berkeley, CA). You should be aware, though, that the rainy season could be in full drench mode by Jan. 7th, so there may not be much fun to be had by driving anywhere!

I live in CT, so if you're in the area I'd be more than happy to take you for a spin...on snow tires of course!

I can't promise you snow, rain, or sunshine (In January we usually have sunshine, often have rain, and every 20-30 years get an occasional snow flake) but if you plan on being in So Cal, drop me an email!

If you make it by Atlanta I'm sure we could get you some seat time in something with an AMG badge...

Sounds like a great idea to me.
I will confirm a solid date and we can arrange to meet up.
My dad has just come back from NY and it sounds brilliant, very 'fast moving' and he said the scenery (i.e. the buildings) are amazing.

Look forward to seeing you guys!

Oliver

Hello!

I have sorted out all the dates, I am flying to New York on 20th October, and arriving in the morning on friday, and I am flying back home on Sunday night.
I can't stay for long because I have to get back to work, but if anybody lives locally, I would like to meet you.

Thanks
Oliver

P.s. If anybody can help me get a job over in America I would be very, very happy. I have always wanted to move over to America, but I am finding it very difficult. A bit cheeky, I know, but it's always worth a try!!!!
