E-TEC fuel injection

Anyone used the E-TEC systems like Benzmac installs on some of his project cars? I'm thinking about ordering a system and adapting it to a 6.9 engine I picked up this week out of a wrecked 450 (82k miles).. I have a w124 body that I'm gonna see if I can shoe horn it into. I also picked up the transmission outta the 450 aswell. Its a project car, no hurry, no real big funding caps... just gonna do it over time.
We'll see how it goes

That is a TEC-3 from www.electromotive-inc.com

My friend Alex Long (RIP) started the company a few years back and now his son Jim is running it. I have been running their systems for many years (almost 20!) from their DIS ignitions to TEC-1, 2, 3
There stuff is based on GM-Delco parts which are easy to get.
Programming has gotten a lot easier. Check out their web site for more info.

Sounds awesome, I will look out for your posts in future. I have seriously considered converting to a modern EFI system.

I think there is more potential in the 5.6 motor that I have my running a more efficient EFI system.

Also if you want to look at a low boost supercharger or nitrous then this would be ideal as you could tailor the fuel delivery which is almost impossible with the CIS.

CIS is really easy to work with. I have been building performance CIS cars for 25 years. There are a lot of parts that you can rob from other CIS cars: Porsche, Volvo, Audi, BMW & VW. I have installed NOS, Superchargers and Turbocargers on CIS cars. My VW Turbo Rabbit developed 425 HP on the CIS at 8 psi boost.
Also one of my customers RUF Turbo 930 Porsches developed 600+ HP with CIS. CIS is basically simple. Study it somemore and it will surprise you.

There is no doubt about how simple it is, my comment is that a modern efi system is much more efficient especially when it comes to SC's and Nitrous etc.

Contact the guys at "MB Grand Restorations":
http://www.mbgrand600.com/

They have already done EFI conversions for the 6.3 M100 engine, as well as supercharged it. A 6.9 should be fairly simple for them.

Check it out here:
