Simple question on manuals

Hi folks,
I've tried to wade through the archives, but I hope someone can give me a straight answer fairly easily. I'd like to obtain the factory shop / part / maintenance / whatever manuals for my '93 500E.

There seem to be several different types of manuals available, some CD based ones, etc.

Can someone put me straight on how and where to obtain the best, most complete parts and shop manual(s) for the W124?

Thanks - all suggestions appreciated,
Chris W.

Chris,

The shop manual on CD the dealer distributes is VERY comprehensive and I would recommend you purchase that if you plan to do ANY work on your car. I finally broke down and bought it and its been invaluable. As far as parts manual I am not sure if those can be purchased.

Good luck.

Here's a part number for the EPC (electronic parts catalog)printed version for the 92'500E (& other 124s) 6510 4952 13A (124USA)

I don't think its available to the public though, or even printed anymore. If you are friends with your dealers partsman...ask him if you can make photo-copies(?)

The retail CD is a must have item...(thanx Mark!)
