Pretty sure it's going to be one of the two numbers mentioned above, but your dealer can verify this for you. The AGM battery is nice if you don't mind paying double for it:
Part number: 000000-002697 - silver-calcium lead-acid battery, white, 100Ah, 760A, list $135 Part number: 005-541-10-01 - "AGM" (gel-cell) type sealed battery, black, 95Ah, 850A, list $253 (!!)

MB Original
Actually MB original battery is what I've used in my 500E.
To my understanding is an Interstate battery with the MB logo on it. Part# 000000-002697 paid $109 for it. No problems whatsoever.

New Battery for me
Needed a new battery, did some research and found that the OEM Battery is good for the price. It is sealed, so there is no maintenance. Paid $244 with tax from the dealer. Tried to buy online from others,but they would not ship. The battery is labeled as a VRLA battery, and is made in Germany. VRLA means it has gel instead of liquid, but is still a lead acid battery.
