Curiosity got me. Anyone know the 0-60 of the 93' 300E with the 3.2 liter, 217 horse? I have had it to 145 before, wondering 0-60, since the topic arose.
Thanks FQ

I have the May 2003 copy of Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine, printed in the UK.
It lists the 0-62 mph for the 93-95 320E as 7.8 seconds, and the top speed as 144 mph. Note that all 1993-1995 W124's with the 3.2 liter engine were badged as 320E in Europe and the rest of the world.

The 0-60 for the E320 / 320E might be different, if only slightly, in the UK, too. I notice the hp rating for this engine in this chassis is 220 hp, whereas the U.S. is 217 hp.
Still, it couldn't make more that a few 1/10 of a sec....

Thanks guys on the info. I figured it was somewhere around 7.5-8.0 seconds 0-60. As far as top speed, I have definitely had it over 130 many times, and have breached the 140 mark a few times. Given a 1-3 mph variance due to road surface, tires, etc...it goes faster than 130 i assure you.
Thanks again! Drive safe! FQ

Frank- perhaps the 16's set-up are lighter and have less resistence than the factory 15's and thus made your car faster?

Highly doubt that. I have only had the sixteens for 8 months, and all those speed runs I was talking about were on the factory 15's with Michelin rubber. Unusual I guess. Next opportunity i get, i will snap a photo of speedometer/tachomoter at these speeds.
