T minus 24 hours until my newest interior mod...

Brabus pedal-kit and door-lock pins!!!

(inspired by Daesun)

http://www.nemonis.net/images/Brabus/Brabus.jpg

I will black anodize my parts, though; Brabus only ships them as shown in the image.

To do so, I will take them here:

Spec Electroplating
712 Francisco Boulevard (Baxter Court)
W San Rafael, CA 94901-3927
phone: (415) 456-3753
fax: (415) 456-1869
hours: 8AM-5PM

- 580W to San Rafael Bridge
- 101 S toward San Francisco
- Bellam off-ramp
- left lane
- under freeway
- to Anderson
- right
- @ 2nd light, right on Francisco
- frontage road 1/4 mile to Baxter Court

I also plan to try to have the rubber inserts re-made in dark gray rubber. Can anyone recommend a source??

Scott,

Looking forward to seeing your completed interior!

Just out of curiousity can you either post or email me what the cost of electroplating is. I'm considering having a bunch of nuts/bolts replated. Thanks.

I'm flattered that something I did has inspired the master himself. I can't wait to see this one come to fruition. Mmmm...custom Brabus...

Electroplating can be done to aluminum and alloys - but NOT:

- chrome
- plastic
- stainless steel

My cost was zero - since I ended up fixing the office computer
for the owner's wife!

; )

Had I paid, though, it would have been $50 for all (3) of my Brabus pedals.

Damn that looks great, Scott! The silver "B" is a fantastic touch. Did he do that by hand?

No - I used a pushpin after the fact to etch out the underlying silver...

I LOVE THESE!!!

It's no big deal, really... I'm just very particular about what I like/how I like it... as most of us on this forum are!!!

Do I understand correctly, that the Brabus pedal covers are only $50...? Where do I get them? They look fantastic!

Dave,

That is incorrect.

The (UN-anodized aluminum) Brabus pedal-kit plus (chrome) door-pin set cost me $352.56 (USD).

Now THAT is more like numbers I'd expect to see. What was the cost breakdown between the pin kit and the pedal covers?
