1 Attachment(s)
Please help!!!
ALL of the dealerships I have contacted say these are NOT available; however, I need 2 black ones ASAP: |
Scott,
I believe the CE models use the exact same pocket...in case you want to try a salvage yard. |
thank you, Glen
I will investigate; $%^& these things are always so ELUSIVE!!!
;) |
How about just changing the color? It worked well on the rest of your interior !
|
...from looking at th '94 E320 Coupe's rear seat pockets- - they are not the same as those in the '94 E500...not even close
a good upholstery shop should be able to spray some glue on there and wrap them in black leather for you... also- from memory- I believe someone here was offering to sell you an entire black leather 124.036 interior> perhaps the pockets can be bought separately? hope this helps -fad |
thanks, Fad!
Maybe I'll... CARBON-FIBER them!!!
; ) |
My dealer found them, but they are something like $150 each! I know they're covered in leather, but what KIND of leather??
Scott, if you need these let me know and I'll have my dealer source them. But what about used? Usually interior bits are worth little or nothing to a salvage yard, no?? Good luck! |
Michael
Thank you, Michael.
Please e-mail me at: release@500Ecstasy.com; I would like to discuss this, further, offline. Thank you, - s/m/s |

Scott Maybe you already got a hold of these. But judging from the pic, those pockets are exactly the same as the ones in my 300E. I would think you can get loads of these in the salvage yard.
Nice Submariner btw.. ;) Freestyler |
Scott, they are available in Germany, so any US dealer can get them if they try hard enough. Or you can order from speed-autoteile.com and have them shipped over. Not cheap though, both through 'Speed will be about $300 USD shipped. No idea what pricing would be via MBNA. Here's the link for proof of availability:

Dave
Are you saying the total price quoted was/is $300 USD plus shipping?
RSVP / Thanks, |
Whoops. I just checked the May 2003 USA price sheet. They show up, which means they SHOULD be available, but they're $190 and $198 respectively, *wholesale* price. OUCH. Might be worth getting them through 'Speed to save $100, eh? Wonder how many are on the shelf in Germany.

'Speed seems to be able to get genuine MB parts at between 20-30% off MB European list price, plus Euro/USD exchange rate, plus S&H across the pond. Based on the price on the Euro website, that works out (in rough estimates) to $300-$325 USD. You'd need to email them for an exact quote - let me know if you do, I'm curious how close my guess was. Although I still say US dealers SHOULD be able to get them for you, albeit at higher cost. Try to get a local dealer to "check stock in Germany", which I know they can do, because I've asked them to do that myself & waited on the phone while they worked the computer magic. :D :D

Scott, $150 is not really that bad as trim and interior items usually run a bit more expensive than the usual consumables. I called the dealer here in Dubai with those numbers and he quoted US$300 EACH ! after discount. I think there is a blue leather 500E in the boneyard here I can look at if you wish. You might also want to contact Andreas Reinacher at www.dbdepot.de This guy is sharp and really reasonable for Benz parts. Good Luck
