Bilstein sport/Neuspeed ???s
Does anyone have Bilstein Sports with Neuspeed springs on an early W124.
How is it set up in terms of alignment and bump pads? How do you like it? thanks, |
You DON"T want to hear about my experience with No-speed when I had my VW.
:( Best springs in the world? Eibach & H&R.;) |
i know....
I had H&Rs on my '84 GTI and those were great. With regards to Neuspeed spring for W124, isn't made by H&Rs?
|
They are made by H&R. Same part number. The H&R symbol has been painted off. I think I went 2 bump in front and 3 bump in back. I was trying to stay out of the camber issue zone. Transformed the car in the handling department. You have no idea how much your W124 leans until you switch upgrade the suspension. I have SP's too.

other comments anyone?
Thanks yal, I thought so...
Other comments from anybody with the same setup as mine is welcome. thanks, |
Alon, (ashman) has Neuspeed springs (manufactured by H&R) and it rides nice. Stock shocks however.

If the H&R's are the same as the Neuspeeds...
...then we have the same set-up!
Ive got a W124 300D with bilstein sports and H&R springs. Im on dot-1 spacers all around right now. Great combo, in my opinion. A lot less roll, more neutral handling than the stock suspension. a bit harsher on the bumpy stuff, but not unbearably so. I do have a problem with those dot one spacers tho-just too low. I was able to get the front camber to around 1.5 deg., but the rear is at 2.5 deg now. I plan on going to dot 3's all around, hopefully itll give me a little more positive camber at the rear. |
