Are 208 and 210 AMG brakes the same?
Axxis pads and stainless steel braided lines worked well on my previous car and I found them for the 210/E55. Will the stuff fit on my 2001 clk55?

probably not since the W208 is based on the W202 C-Class chassis. But that is just my speculation. Not definitive.

You could look up both parts on Fastlane and see if the part numbers are the same...

C43/CLK55(W208)/E55(w210) should have the same front brake setup 2 piston sliding caliper , and 2 pc 13.1" rotor. Regardz,

Do yours squeak ?
My CLK55 Cabrio has squeaked like crazy for 2 years. I took it into the dealer and they had a TSB on it but the procedure (anti-sieze) didn't fix the problem.
I also can't stand the look of the brakes....UGLY! In a market where performance is is the ultimate goal they work pretty well, but every other AMG car has pretty trick looking calipers. These don't cut it! Part of the reason is they were hidden behind the AMG Monoblock wheels on the first CLK55, but the Cabrio has the two piece spoke, so the caliper is in plain view. Really my only complaint with the car! I'd love to have MB/AMG upgrade them to something like the picture in Limited Edition's signature.

I originally found the E55 setup on Zeckhausen.com and asked about the clk. They got back to me after a while and checked some brake pad fitment book and the cars do have the same pad numbers. They changed their ad to include the clk.
I got the ss lines from them...they were from Stoptech and labeled for a SLK. We'll see how they fit when I go in for the service with brake fluid bleed. I agree about the look of the stock calipers. The AMGs look a lot better especially when the spokes disappear with a car at speed.
