nice, but...
rare bird, great car, but I'd be concerned that it has been for sale for at least two years, and has traveled "less than 400km" in the last 8 years.
By the look of it, it hasn't been kept indoors under wraps, but rather out in the dust for all this time... |

I was going to say, I thought I've seen that car for sale for at least the last 2 years! Maybe that photo was when it was in its prime. $15K doesn't seem bad for that car, the 700+ plus days its been for sale must tell a different story.

Yeah I been looking at that for a couple years as well, but its not 15K, its that plus probably 6 to get it modded for US, if you "know somebody". I posted ?'s about importing a car a little while ago. Didnt get good responses.

It won't make economic sense to bring it into the USA, just like cars from Germany/Europe. In addition to the shipping, you'll need to EPA/DOT certify it via a bonded importer and all mods have to be warranted with a guarantee. Then there's the duty/customs fees. About the only sensible way to do it might be to remove the motor and some other parts, have the rolling chassis declared 'salvage" and ship the two pieces separately, then reassemble in the US under a "salvage" title.

If truly interested in importing it try www.madmaxcars.com. They import cars from Australia all the time and may be able to assist or even do the service.

Note the year of production of the cars that they are importing into the US, they are over 25 years old and due to age, are exempt from the EPA/DOT requirements. Nice to know you can get those down under muscle cars here in "up over."
