See dave, think of this. This is my impression of the kmac rear bushing eccentric kit vs. the camber arm kit made by various mercedes enthusiasts.

The Kmac kit is really good because it pulls the rear lower control arm in toward the car. The camber arms provide additional pushing outward. So if you run big wheels like me, you wouldnt want to put on the camber rod because it is really like an extender for the OE arms which do not change length. If you run 235s on 17x7.5 et37 and you push the camber arms out to come from a -5 degree to -1 degree you push out the wheel pushing it into the fender.

So basically I would prefer the Kmac kit with the rods such that you can rigidize the suspension, but for just a normal person or whatever they would just need one or the other. if you are going to run 17s and up, you should really get the kmac kit.

If my explaination has any flaws please let me know and I will edit it.

Austin, gotcha - excellent point, I should have thought of that myself. I would prefer to pull the tire in rather than push it out. I currently have 17x8.0 ET38 but those spiffy new C7 wheels are my intended long-term setup, which are 17x7.5 ET... ummm... ET37 I think? I'll be using 225/45 tires on the 7.5 wheels, the 8.0's should have 235/45. I'm still undecided though. I'd probably have no clearance problems with MBracer's setup, as I only need to go from about -2.5 or -3.0 down to -1.0. Decisions, decisions... cost is a factor as well and the K-Mac ain't cheap...!

I wonder if Kmac will do a group buy. I am pretty sure we could get 5-10 people. My car already has something similar to Kmac, except the metal is ground down to move the arm more inboard.

I am glad you understand.

Buy direct from Jeff?

I think you may be able to get a pretty good price on the K-MAC bushings if you buy them directly from Jeff Owens. He is a rep for K-MAC. I think Jeff has the bushings stored in the back of his car or something. I sent Jeff a check in the mail and he sent me the bushings. It turns out that the K-MAC kit is the exact same part that others sell (like RennTeach), but they sell it for twice the price. I bought the kit a while ago, so I’m not sure if the price is still the same. See below for all of my purchase information.

Sorry if I am stepping on any ones toes that sells the K-MAC bushings, but I wasn’t told to keep it secret about buying the parts direct. I was just so happy that I was able to get the parts and that they worked so well to adjust the camber. For me, the bigger expense was installation. I didn’t do it myself, so I ended up paying more for installation than I paid for the part.

Rear Camber/Toe Kit - part# 502026H
$226.00 plus $11.00 for shipping by UPS.
The total was $237.00.

The Renntech bushings ARE different....I know this for a fact.

I ordered a set from K-mac and from Renntech for a 210. The Kmac set needed some washers fabricated to work right. The RENNtech did not.

K-mac does make the RENNtech bushings, but I assure you, they are different!

What is different?

Could you please tell us more about how RennTech is different than K-MAC.

I just wonder how different it could be, considering it is just eccentric hardware with grooved teeth all in a polyurethane bushing. It is really quite simple. To me, it doesn’t really make sense that K-MAC would make a different version for RennTech.

They use a combination of US grade 8, Metric DIN 8.8, and Custom hardware.

They have been fitted on the 201, 202, & 124.

K-Mac gave the dealer price for a single pice buy for you at $225.00.
