Is that an older gen supra engine? Dont know what the tach with the shift light is for but i guess it looks cool.

they have both 1jz (old gen) in the picture. and 2jz (newer) this one was a non turbo.

might be confusing but those are 2 different cars. the one with the tach and boost gauge will get a 2jz twin turbo engine.

seems a little riced out. Tach on an automatic, and boost gauge on a non-turbo. hmmm. Anyways i guess its still faster than stock.

this imo is far from riced out. like i said in the post above. the picture of the tach and boost gauge has a 2jz twinturbo in it. and keep in mind that the tachometer does not work anymore. therefore an aftermarket must be used. in fact the speedometer isn't that accurate. but they don't bother to do anything about that. outside it is kept 100% stock, maybe an intercooler, i have seen several with them around.

the shop i went to had a 560SEC waiting to pull its engine out. over here japanese engiens are easier to maintain, its kinda sad to see them MB engines thrown away.

how long were you there? So you went back and took pictures more than once? I dunno, the one "racing" gas pedal and stock brake pedal. Still seems riced out.

i am highly into modofying my w123, but even for me this interior is a little over the top and not too well integrated into the mercedes design...my opinion...i do enjoy the fact that it has been done and the engine install looks pretty clean from what i can see, i would like to see more of the details...such as exhaust, mounts, drives ect. Hopefully ill be done by spring with my SC project and 270 hp...who knows. thanks for the oddity post! - Jake

If you know the owner i am working on a CNC d center gauge pod, when i get that finished i can make copies on the vacformer...here is a VERY RUFF form study - Anyone with other ideas/suggestions please post...i have gauges in the ashtray, and im not sure about a A pillar pod.

It's an '86 560 SEC with an ATI Procharger P1SC, JetHot coated custom headers and supercharger plumbing, methanol/water injection, 7 psi of boost, MSD ignition, MSD boost timing master, and some Accel universal plug wires. I'm at 346 RWHP and 404 RWTQ right now but I'm going to pump it up to around 10 to 12 when my new pulley is machined. I'm seeing a little over 20 RWHP for each psi of boost so another 3 to 5 psi should get me to around 400 RWHP at 10 psi and 440 RWHP at 12 psi.

The car is a blast to drive and makes my E55 feel a little sluggish. I drive the E for work and the SEC for fun. It sure gets some strange looks when they hear me coming down the road. The exhaust sounds very un-Mercedes and the whistle of the blower is a dead give away that it's not stock.

that is awesome, very cool.
qs-was tuning it in a big deal to do/had to be easier than EFI...the MSD boost timing master takes care/helps for the burts of the throttle? stock cooling system takes care of itself a o k ? stock rear end a o k?
thanks - Jake
