I fitted a sebring on my W210 mainly to get a slightly sportier note to the exhaust and to enhance the look of the car after fitting an AMG body kit. Seems low end torque may have suffered a little but top end certainly feels better. fuel economy is also better by about half km per litre.

Timevalve is terrible. I got it for the 300SDL and the exaust got louder and harsher, but not sporty. Also the construction is terrible, the pipes arent mandrel bent, they are cut at angles and then welded. I would not recommend them to anyone. Plus im stuck with it now since it doesnt rust! Oh well.

In my experience: stick with OEM for replacement, tuner or OE supplier cat-backs or rear mufflers for looks and maybe small gains, or full tuner exhaust for real gains for real bucks. In any case, you get what you pay for.
Hope this helps...Lee |
