Modded grille w/pics :D

Thanks to Scott (run.exe) and Albert (Extreme_E500) for the inspiration I'm too far away to be considered a real copycat

The grille doesn't have dents in it, it's the lighting...

What do you think?

Mods: feel free to move this if necessary

Thumbs up Nice!

Looks really good. My personal taste would include utilizing the factory strips (painted to match) to break up the expanse a bit, but even so, it looks good as is. I like the AMG spoiler too!

I played with that idea, even had them temporarily mounted but it made it look too busy, besides, the factory pieces are half an inch too short for the new style..

Thanks for the compliments

Very stealthy look. I like your front spoiler and your AMG monoblocks too....

I got bored ...

... so I decided to go back to the OE look, but modded the grille insert with black textured paint and used new metal strips.

BTW Zorro ... nice results! Scott's grille assembly fueled my desire to do some mods ... I saw his car in person at the Morro Bay 500E GTG ... quite impressive.

I'll drive with the new mod for a while, until the I develop the HOLY GRAIL of GRILLE MODS ... the Bentley, multi-strip, chromed, scalloped-edged, quasi-woven Grille insert!

... doing the research!

Yeah, I could have created another post, but I thought I could compliment what you did and to discuss how I too have been influenced by the Master Modder himself.

Maybe this can be the ULTIMATE Grille Mod thread?

So with that said, Zorro, show us more detail on your grille mod! Us Modders want to know!

Exclamation I WANT THAT GRILLE!

I actually posted a little while ago asking people if they have ever seen or made a mesh grille...and well sir you've done it. Could you please post how you did it, what you used and where you got the parts from? I really really want to make one.

do you think a black mesh grille will look nasty on a white car?

yes, but a white mesh grille would look amazing..

As per Run and Albert, i bought a speed grille for a Yukon/denali and custom cut it to fit. I had the body shop paint it body color and then I installed it to the factory frame. I needed to put a few layers of mesh behind the billet grille because once painted black, you could really see the fans and horns behind it. Being white, your car would only need one layer The grille is billet aluminum and was not cheap ($250 CAD) so try not to mess up..

Norman, I was only playing with the hijack comment thanks for the compliments, and YOUR grille looks quite high-end
