grounding kits
Hello,
Has anyone ever installed grounding kits on their benz? My friend got one on his VW VR6. He said if I got it on my car, it will improve fuel efficientcy and the electrical problems. When I turn on things like fan, radio, my headlights would dim, or the dash lights. Anyone ever done this stuff?

Grounding kits are helpful on EFI (electronic) fuel systems. Many cars don't provide for good grounds to the engine like mercedes does!

grounding kits
The consensus of the engine lab techs at the research center where I work is that grounding kits may be beneficial for older cars because their grounding points may have become corroded with age. Loosening, cleaning, and retightening the grounding points will restore their continunity. Grounding kits are probably not worth the effort on a newer car.
I installed a grounding kit on my 2003.5 G35 and did not notice any difference. I cleaned the grounding points on my 1998 C43 shortly after I purchased it (I sold the G35 for the C43) and did not notice any difference. I also cleaned the grounding point on my son's 1997 Jetta and did not notice any difference.
