"Sportier" steering wheel for W123?
Some of you will laugh at this, but I am looking for a smaller steering wheel for my '82 300CD. I am not a big fan of the 16.5" "bus" wheel that is on it now. I like the increased input speed of a smaller wheel, and I like the tactile feel of leather.
I spent a significant amount of time adapting a Momo wheel from a JDM Subaru Legacy (far more elegant than the typical Momo wheel, but alas it did not use a standard Momo adaptor), and was dismayed to find that the 14.5" wheel cut of the tops of my gauges. I am 6'2", so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but it was still unacceptable. I think a 15.5" wheel would be perfect, but I am having a heck of a time trying to find one. Has anyone had any luck in this area? Thanks in advance.

i am using a small MOMO steering wheel in mine as well and it cuts out the top corner parts of the left and right gauges, the turn signals, and a good portion of the speedometer. i just get use to it i suppose. i occationally use a wooden vintage momo wheel which matches the interior a lot better.
