I just got my Sportline kit from PartsShop last week - should have it installed by the end of the month if everything goes well. My question is, what are the complete Sportline front/rear allignment specs I need to tell my tire shop when they do the tires? They say they determine specs by VIN #, which won't reflect the Sportline conversion. MB Doc said that since the car is lower than normal W124 cars then the camber is more negative, and I should have the alignment shop set the camber 0.4deg lower than normal. Also have the toe-in set to 0.2deg or 3mm. Do I need any more info, or is this enough? Thanks for any info!

That should be right for your application.

Just wondering....are you adding the "Sportline" badges on the aft part of the front fenders?

I didn't know that there was such an animal as a sportline badge! Where would I find out about them? My original intention is to not show any obvious changes to the car - I'm out to create a "stealthy" Reich Rocket, not looking for competition, but able to offer a surprise or two to the random ricemobile if needful.

JCE,
There are Sportline badges. They are small blue badges that are very discreet. Unless someone knew where to look and what to look for they would likely miss them.

Lee:

Are these badges available through the PartsShop? Is there somewhere I could see a picture of one? I went to my local MB dealer and they hadn't heard of a Sportline option, then said it wasn't available in 87, and finally tried to sell me a black script badge of the word "Sport" that they "add to the SLKs". BTW, photos and comments on the way soon - this upgrade is the single best thing I have EVER done to a car!!! Thanks for the support!

Submit a Parts Information Request and we'll see if we can find the badges anywhere.
