Strange
I never noticed this before, But my 86300E has some additional rear suspension adjustments. This pic is the thrust arm location.

The early W201 & W124 chassis had a rear "tilt angle" adjustment!
That was an adjustment that made sure that the rear toe-in didn't change durning rear axle deflection or loading. MB stopped using that durning 1986. ONLY a few dealers have the equiprment & knowledge to reset that adjustment! OF course that could accomplished by trial & error as well.
