I am thinking about doing a project 300e. I have a good base car and would do sportline etc. Any thoughts about how to do more hp eg turbo or superch. and exhaust systems. The motor is the older 6cyl, not the 24v
I would like to get to abt 250 hp if poss.
Thanks

I think you would have to go to RennTech for something like that. They offer a 3.6L Engine rebuild for your car for the miniscule price of $13,900.00 USD.

This supposedly will bump your hp up to 255.
If you get it done, let me know how it is...

Hope this helps.

Mosselman offers a twin-turbo kit good for 300HP and about that much torque off the 3.0/2-valve per cyl M103. (103.983) That is for the stock compression and is essentially (famous last words I know) a "bolt on" kit. No idea of the real-world power curve but 2-valve per cyl engines do great on forced induction. Before Mosselman was gobbled up by CEC I believe the twin-turbo kit ran about $7500 US plus installation. If you are still interested I can try and dig up the old Mosselman phone numbers and of course CEC contact info.

Hope this helps...Lee

PS If the motor is already "tired" you may be better served by a performance rebuild by a tuner. Starting a older/worn engine on forced induction is asking for trouble. If the engine is still quite tight then you should be good.

Well, so much for the project. The car got sold by my mechanic when an offer he couldnt refuse came up.
I am back to the classifieds to find another car.
Thanks for the replies, everyone. The mosselman sounds interesting Lee.
I was going to club race the beast at Watkins Glen which is just down the road from here.
