Soft Top Management 94 SL 500
This week I started to notice a problem with the soft top, whether trying to raise or lower. Sometimes it would not begin either cycle. The windows would go down, but that's it. I would wiggle the top switch a bit and it would eventually work. Coincidentally, the manual raise/lower of the rollbar is similarly effected. When I initially toggle the switch, it will pulse 3 times before failing to engage raise/lower. Baffling.... Any insight would be more than appreciated.

The diagnostic procedure for a problem like yours is straight-forward, Ralph. But first, was your '94 manufactured in '93 or '94?
