I Just Noticed Something About The Cadillac XLR!!

Sat it one at the dealer today. It wasn't comfortable to me at all. The seat felt like it was cocked sideways. The trim was pretty, although I could'nt swear that it was real wood. I noticed the sticker was on the windshield so I got out to see what THEY thought it was worth. $76,000!!!!! Are they *&%^ing KIDDING me???!!! Who in the HELL would buy one of those for the same price you could get a super SLK or a slightly used SL??? That sum***** BETTER be great on the road, cause it's resale will kill you after a couple of years!!

GM will never learn their lesson in the roadster market with anything other than the Corvette. Remember the Allanté? They took a bath on that one and are still recovering from that fiasco. Did you notice the similar lines/profile/styling of the Cadillac XLR? GM is trying to copy and get a piece of the 2-seater market that MB and the Japanese have held for so long.

As far as I'm concerned, I am happy with my SL and whatever problems he may have.

The Caddy Roadster looks like an unrefined R129 to me. IMO, they're Zero in the creative department.....100 points for Bling.

I don't mind the looks...someone here has a black one w/chromed 18"s and it looks pretty nice.

But it seems a bit late on the part of Cadillac to introduce a roadster at "exotic car" prices considering the well-entrenched competition...
