Question Sun Visors

I am trying to remove my sun visors to get them redone. I have removed the screw at the ball pivot but they will not come off. Do I have to remove the window trim to get the visors off? Help please.

Somewhere on this forum I saw quite detailed instructions on removing them. As I remember the trim must come off and there is a " hidden screw " on each. There is more but memory does not serve, try the search feature.

Talking sun visor removal

If yours is the 107. Follow this:
1) Remove the rear view mirror - Hold with both hands and rotates toward you as you sit in the driver's seat. It is spring loaded. It will pop out.

2) Then there are 3 screws holding the mirror base plate on - remove them

3) Next remove the courtesy lamp unit and disconnect.

4) Now remove the sun visor "end" catch (in driver's seat - right) it only was one screw holding it.

5) Remove a "hidden" screw on your left then pull the molding away.

6) Next remove the 2 screws holding the base of the sun visor on.

If it's a 129 then there are two self tappers for each visor. No trim needs to be removed. They should be quite obvious - maybe use a torch?

Search the threads as I know I@ve been involved in conversations before with instruction.
