best source for 107 fenders?
I was going to repair them but they are pretty nasty so either I need some patch panels or replacment fenders. Anybody have a good source for fenders?
The area under the headlight buckets is in really bad shape and with all the complex curves it will be a bit of a nightmare to repair them. Thanks. |

K&K manufacturing offer OEM fenders but they are kind of pricey. You buckets look as bad as mine. I have attached a before and after shot. Granted it is not perfect but it does get covered up when the coverings go back on.

Have fun finding them. I've been looking for a while and anything that shows up on Ebay is very expensive...and used.
Most other MB fenders go for $39 to $150 used. Used 107 fenders rarely show up and they're usually in the $200-$300 range, sometimes repaired as well.

107 fenders
It seems to me that I read in a catalog from Adsit that they were offering used 107 fenders. Now I could be wrong and I have the catalog at home. If I think about it I will look this evening and get back with the offered price and exact location. It seems like it is adsit.com but I will get back. VLP

107 fenders
Speedy, I did not get to look up last night but www.adsitco.com had advertised used fenders in their catalog. Used, $199, new $299 and 10% discount for on-line, fax or mail in orders. Telephone 1-800-571-7656, fax 1-765-286-4784. I have never bought anything but they have lots of new, used and rebuilt parts. Hope this helps. VLP

Thanks guys. We decided to just put the ones we have back together as well as we can. This is just a basic 76 SL, not worth a lot of money, so I think it will look good enough for us. If it really comes out like crap I can always pull the fender later.

Fiberglass
I would use fiberglass because of the contours... You can make fiberglass sandwiches and fit any contour and if you make the sandwich on a piece of flexable plastic and then pull the plastic off the sandwich patch it will be as slick as a baby's rear end... no sanding or anything...

speedy, I can't see where you are located but I found a 78 450 SLC in a junkyard in Houston, body in excellent shape and complete, interior wasted, engine still there. Its an American car U-pull wrecking yard and I think the owner is totally clueless as to what he has. If you are anywhere close PM me.
