Cleaning up rusty lugs - alloy wheels
Not the world's biggest problem, but ....
Most of the lugs on the bundt cake alloys on my 280SL are rusty and make the otherwise decent wheels look bad. New ones are $3.89 apiece. Has anyone got a good way to refinish them? Easy enough to remove, clean up, use rust fixer, and paint. But then the paint would probably crack or chip from the socket/lug wrench when they are put back on and the process would start all over again.
