Welcome to the forum.

I'm surprised that your newly aquired hard top didn't have the locking levers, assuming you are talking about the mechanisms that dog down the top, and not the tool that is used as a lever?

I have heard that there is a paint now available for vinyl and I too am looking for such, so when I find out, I'll let you know too! BB

Hello
The car should have come with a hardtop. All SL,s are delivered with the soft and hard top. But this is water under the bridge.
Interior trim pieces are available at the dealer. But of coures they want your first born for them. There are aftermarket supliers.

First check with Phil at the fastlane link above. Call him for specific parts. He can get lots of stuff that is not listed in the Fastlane website. Many parts from the dealer

Consider these places.

Great resources for SL parts etc. Thank you for listing them BB

I would amagine that over time, a few hard tops are forgot, or left behind after a divorce! I heard of a woman recently who always had the hard top on, never knowing it was a convertible! BB

Thank you all for your response. I purchased the car in Florida and the previous owner sold the hard top to someone in Michigan because he never used it and needed the space. I bought the car at a price reflecting the absence of the hard top. I bought from a Mercedes repair shop here in Saint Louis a hard top with the locking handles missing, (2 needed that are attached to the hard top). I placed a picture of both handles on the back of a milk carton with negative results. The top was sitting in a body shop without a cover and the headliner is very dirty to a point beyond cleaning. I tried various types of cleaners, careful not to damage the material with poor results. The trim colors do not match the interior of the car and I want to replace these items.

Thank once again for assistance.

I see from one of the web sites Dave posted that a new headliner is I think available for the removable hard top too, as it did mention for SLC as well.

I just ordered custom match vinyl paint from the same site but for lower dash and console. It would likely work for your head liner if you wanted to save it.

I'll let the board know how I liked the vinyl paint as I have never used this stuff before! BB
