Ceramic Brake Pads?

I'm considering replacing my 99 SL 500 brake pads with ceramic material
pads for dust control and also for eliminating the annoying noise the semi-metallic pads produce when braking on reverse.
I'll apreciate any input;feedback negative or positive before I proceed
Thanks

None from me, however I have no experiance with ceramics in my 107, just in my 124, and I have no complaints, and no more black soot either!

I'm going to use ceramics on my SL. I went to order them and they only have the PBR's for the front, the rears are out of stock everywhere I looked.

There were some threads that said ceramics might cause too much rotor wear but no one had a definitive answer.

I'll let you know how they work out.

I used ceramic pads in my 97 320. Brake performance seems to be better and the wheels are cleaner. Installation was extremely easy.
