dennis, how do you know yours are worn badly? what are the symptoms? I has a mechanic tell me that I need to replace a rear stabilizer link, but I'm not sure why.

Sway Bar

Dennis, if you are wondering what your sway bar does, it transfers weight from one side of the car to the other side of the car. It does this when you corner. when any corner of the car loads up with (what racing people call weight) the sway bar helps by transferring part of the force(weight) to the other side of the car....Jim

Hi, one of my link bushes has failed and left the sway bar free to hit the wheel

If I can get hold of replacement bushes do they just push into place?

Thanks
John

you have to buy a link i believe.

i would estimate not much more than a half hour for both sides if it is the same as a 123, and i would assume it is.

Yes, you do have to buy....

the complete link. I would buy both and change them out at the same time. Also, there are two types available: one is plastic, the other is metal. Pay the few extra dollars and get the metal ones. They are less than $20 each.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, sounds easy enough

Makes sense to do both, as the other side is probably perished too.

What I can't believe is that a couple of zip-ties are keeping things together ok for now, but I feel I should hurry up and replace them.
