95 SL320 Temperature Gauge question
Hi,
My girlfriend just bought a 95 SL320. The only real problem she has with it is the temperature gauge does not work. I have bought what I believe is the correct sensor unit. It is very similar to the one on my 92 300E, only the 300E sensor has 4 pins, the SL320 2 pins. On the SOHC engine in my car this sensor is located just behind the rear of the rocker cover. I admit I have not had time to dig too deep to find where the unit is located on her DOHC engine. I'm guessing it's under the engine cover. I would be grateful for any assistance or advice on this problem. Thanks, Colin. |

Thanks for the pic, bobterry. I got my sensor mixed up with my sender. Got hold of a replacement sender, screwed it in and now her temperature gauge is working perfectly. A lot easier to get at than my 300E. I found it eventually, located under the air cleaner near the rocker cover.
