77 450SL - 2nd start up of the day is bad...
Hello,
Whenever I take my 450SL to work it starts up just great (regardless of outside temp). However, whenever I am leaving work, I always have to try and get it started more than once, which is peculiar to me. The cold start and warm up regulators have been replaced... I can't figure out why I am running into this problem. Any ideas? Thanks! LA |

Is the engine warm when this occurs? If so, it could be the fuel accumalator. I have this problem on my 380SE. I know this fix has worked for others. I just haven't gotten around to doing it since I rarely drive this vehicle.

No, the engine isn't warm when I restart. While I park in the building garage, it isn't "heated" so the car is cold when I am ready to leave work (8 hours). Could it still be the accumulator?
I have a new fuel filter that I haven't yet installed - could this be it also? Thanks, LA |
