ABS fixed for free by MB dealer
 

Went to my local MB dealer with my 1990 500SL as they were having a free mechanics clinic for Benz owners that were able to attend. I managed to get my name on the list and had the complete car checked from top to bottom at no charge. One of my troubles (besides my cold start rough idle) was that my ABS light was on. They diagnosed it as being a simple fuse and the kicker is they replaced it and solved the problem at NO CHARGE. :eek:
They are keeping the car over night so they can start it in the morning and properly diagnose the cold start rough idle issue. The mechanic I spent the time with today even showed me what the problem might be and explained how to do it myself. I will post the results when I get the car back. Do other MB dealerships offer this free mechanics clinic? Myself and the others that attended with their cars were sure happy they held it. Even had free coffee and donuts........mmmmmmm....donuts.

This is amazing. I don't think the local MB dealer will even insult me or my car for free.

I think YOU need to bring THEM doughnuts sometime next week. I can't think of a better investment.
