Water leaks

Greeting Forum members,

I'm currently trying to find the source of water leaking into my 1985 280sl.
After a moderate to hard rain I find water poolng under the rear jump seats but I can't seem to actually find the origin. I'm guessing the water is seeping pass the soft top hatch seal. Does anyone know the actual/probable source? Are clogged drain holes causing the problem?
I also find water under the drivers and passengers seats.
Where are all the drain holes in the 107 body?
Thanks for any and all help in this matter.

What drain holes?

This past winter, I had all the old carpet out including the foam floor pads. The only drain holes I saw were created by rot around two of the 8 or so rubber plugs in the floor pan. Water had also puddled under the plywood rear jump seat like yours. Do you have rust or rot in the rear section of the rocker panels? Mine did and water could have gained entrance there. Poor top seals contribute too!
