Door Lock Alarm Switch '87 560SL

I'm having a little trouble with the alarm system in my SL. Every once in a while when I go to unlock the driver side door it sets the security alarm off. Usually I just cycle the lock and it shuts off but the last time it just kept on...and...on.... I suspect a sticking door switch. Where is it located in the door? hard to get to? Anything else I should be looking at.
