82 500sl euro idle control valve

Can anyone help me in find the correct number of the Idle speed adjuster for my car? Its and 82 500SL euro version.
I believe it is supposed to be 000 141 14 25 ? Actually the VDO number(original manufacturer?) would be fantastic, as I may be able to get it direct from VDO at a cheaper price.
My valve has been replaced by the old Auxilary air valve thermostat type by the previous owner and I would like very much to change it back to the electronic version, as I have just repaired my Idle control unit.
The contoured hoses at each end the valve and the aluminium junction housing have also been changed (one with the idle adjusting screw), so I have a bit of chasing up to do to covert it back unfortunatley.
Pictures would be great if anyone could take one. Alot to ask I know but it would help alot for my trips to the wrekers. It is so hard to get info on the euro version here as there is not so many of them so any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Damian

If Fastlane (This site's store) doesn't carry the Euro part then give these guys a try... http://brinsonco.com/ or http://www.***************/

BTW, how did you repair your control module?

Thanks Rick,

I will heve a look at the other supplier you suggested. They arn't cheap are they! I have found the VDO number for the part, I think? I had a look at the Siemens VDO site and found a cross reference the MB number I suspect as being the correct one.

The repair the the control unit was ended out just being a few dry joints I havent trialed it yet as I don't have the valve, but it seams to behave on the bench. I simulated the TD imput with a frequency generator whilst looking at the op wavform on an oscillascope. The valve I substituted for a 20 ohm 10 watt resistor, as the unit requires it for a feed back path to operate. All other inputs can be simulated by adding or removing 12v ie A/C, Vac switch and Temp etc.

Regards

Damian
