Engine Swap on 107SL

I would appreciate a little advice on a proposed engine swap for a 1982 500SL to a 1992 560 SEC.

The 500SL has 300,000 KM and the 560 has 80000 km.

My gearbox is three speed and the 560 is 5 speed .

Will the swap be technically feasable particulualy re the gear box controls and lever in car.

Or should I have the 500SL reconditioned, as the cost of using the 560 is considerably more .

Any comments please .

Den Downunder .
