Had one...but the extended hood made it serviceable.

Don't let one overheat though...they had a bad habit of dropping valve seats!

Mattcara, you may want to flush the radiator if that hasn't been done recently - we did it at home on my '77 and it ran cooler afterwards. Also, make sure the radiator cap pressure is good.

It hasnt been flushed. i think i an going to do it with my next oil. change..

A good flush and check the heat sinks as well as anything that may be blocking the radiator. On one of my cars, I rolled over a bag in the street. When I got home the car was getting hot. I checked under the car and sure enough, the bag was covering the radiator. Also, on my Vette, every winter and before summer I'd check under the car for leaves. The car loved to suck up leaves in front of the radiator.

My 88SL is running about 95C these days here in CT USA. Check that your aux fan is comming on.

I am hosting an SL get together in northern new jersey at the end of september.. would yo u like to come?

its going to be a tail gate party and we are going to swap SL war stories and take picutres , its gonna be a hoot.
