1982 500sl euro car power windows quit

i have a 1982 500sl conv (gray market) that the power windows quit working both at the same time, the battery went dead so i recharged it, but now the windows quit working. i checked the fuses and all are ok, called MB the said check the relays above the fuse panel in the passenger side foot well. I placed all 3 relays in each different sock, but still no windows.

Is there another fuse panel or relay under the hood or someone else.

I took each switch out of the consoul, took them apart and cleaned the contacts. This worked for me.

i thought about that, but seems strange that both QUIT at once, after the battery went dead?

Sounds like a grounding problem somewhere.

While we're on the topic here, how to align the power windows on these cars? My window glass looks like it needs to be moved horizontally to align correctly. Are the adjustment bolts for horizontal, as opposed ot the ones for vertical adjustment on thedoor (2 bolts)?

Yes there is. But without mine appart I cant take a picture. If you have the 107 CD the procedure is in it but it is listed under crank window adjustment. I guess the crank and power windows have the same procedure.
