R107 or W107

Gentelmen

I have very often herd the 107's refered to as both R107 or W107. What is the story about this. Is my 560SL an R or a W

John the W The "W" is from "Wagen. R " for "Reihe" (series). Both are a designation for the 107 series. Reihe translated to english means inline and generally is applied to the euro 280SL when referred to in europe, not to be confused with the 113 280SL. So yours would be a model specific W107 without headphones.(Haven't lost a Pros yet, so don't use them in Queensland, AU!)

John,
Free set of headphones and a tinted rear view mirror - Just to take the edge off those rotating Red and Blues coming up behind! Glad you have a sense of humor!

When I enter the Gumball, the headsets will be the least of the Red and Bules concern.

My understanding has always been that W107 refers to the SLC models and R107 refers to the SL models.
